The one form I need.

About 10 minutes, and it's the only thing I need from you. Most of it I can pull from the account myself. What's below is the part I can't: your numbers, your handles, and what's actually worrying you. Worth having your product margins to hand before you start, because that's what sets your break-even line.

Anything you don't know, leave blank. I'll find it or ask.

01You

So I can match you to the payment. If the read should go somewhere else, tell me at the bottom.

02Your store

I check Meta's numbers against your store's, so I need to know what I'm comparing against.
Not your normal domain, the one Shopify gave you when you started. Open your domain settings and it's the one ending in .myshopify.com. I can't send the access request without it.
Open users and permissions and scroll to Collaborators. It's 4 digits, and Shopify won't let me even ask for access without it. If yours is set to let anyone request, leave this blank.

03Your Meta setup

It's a long number, and it's the thing that lets me request access without you hunting through settings. Open your business info and it's at the top. If that page doesn't load, Meta's steps are here. Leave it blank if you can't find it and I'll send you the steps.
Open Ads Manager and it's top left, next to the account name. Meta's steps if it's hiding.
Part of the read is which of your organic posts to turn into your next ad, so I need to see what you're posting.

04What you sell

Up to 5. Best sellers, or the ones you want to sell more of, not the whole catalogue. The link lets me see the page people actually land on. Gross margin is what's left of the sale price after what the product cost you to buy or make, before ads. Sell it for $100, it costs you $45, that's 55%. Rough is fine, and a guess beats a blank. It's the number that decides the return each product has to hit before it's worth advertising, and it's different for every product. That's why I ask per product instead of once.

It changes what the account should be set up to do.
A wide margin spread across the range, free shipping you absorb, subscriptions, wholesale, heavy returns, in store sales. Anything meaning revenue isn't just orders times price.

05Who's buying

Not a demographic sheet. What's going on in their life at the moment they need this.
If it's turned out to be someone other than who you built it for, that gap is usually where the money is. Say so even if you only half believe it.
Their words, not your description. Pull a line or two straight out of your reviews, DMs or emails. This is where the next ad usually comes from.

06Where you're at

Whatever it actually was. It tells me what the first read has to answer.
This is what I look at first. Be blunt.
A sale, a launch, a seasonal peak, a stock problem. It changes what the numbers mean.

Next I send you the access to click. View only, and you can revoke it any time.

That didn't send. Try once more, or email it to ash@ashtopham.com and I'll take it from there.

Got it

That's everything.

I’ll be adding myself access in the next 48 hours. One approval from you and then you can forget about it.

  1. 01I request access, you approve it.Within 48 hours. Meta and Shopify each send you a request to accept, and that’s the last thing you have to click. If either one doesn’t turn up, I’ll email you the steps.
  2. 02Then the audit.12 months of history, written up, plus a video of me walking through the account so you can see what I see.
  3. 03Your first read lands within 14 days.On your own private link. Then the same link, new read, every month.

Handing your ad account to someone isn’t nothing. It’s view only, you can pull it back in one click, and I won’t be changing anything, because that isn’t what the read is. Thanks for trusting me with it.
